2024

Hard to believe it’s another year and another season of F1 is upon us already. Perhaps it feels so unreal because the start of the season is at the end of February?? It isn’t even March and we’re already binge-watching Drive to Survive and getting ready for the first race weekend! It may also be the 20+++ race calendar… or just that life speeds up every year.

Here we are though, and I am looking forward to taking on a new kind of experiment/ challenge this year with my F1 cooking. I’ve found that I have felt a bit stale looking at “quintessential” dishes of the countries F1 races in year after year and I wanted a new lens. So with that in mind, this year I am going to try something new and go for a theme! Inspired by, of all things, the Great British Baking Show, I’m going to try to find and make savory pastry recipes for each race. This might be cheesy croissants, empanadas, samboosa, savory tarts, or any other of the thousand ways to wrap dough around things.

No promises I will find appropriate recipes or cook for every race… but when I do, expect fried, baked, and battered savory pastries from around the world. Wish me luck!

Race Calendar and Recipes

For all the upcoming (and previous races) check out this year’s Race Calendar and get some cooking inspiration. You can click on each country for the race weekend and get past year’s recipes.

And just for fun, another highlight reel since the last time I posted. I already shared a bit about our trip to Belgium over the summer and going to the Belgian Grand Prix!

So here are some non-race related moments —

I love to hear from you, whether its on Instagram, in the comments, or through messages. This community is so much fun and I’d love to hear what plans you have for 2024 or what you do in the “off-season”.

Cheers to another year of racing and food!
