Netherlands Dutch GP 2021: Butter Cake and MAAXXXX

This race was all about the fans. The track is pretty spectacular with its banked curves and sandy dunes surrounding it, but as with many classic tracks it doesn’t make for the most exciting racing. Listening to the commentators and drivers gush about the atmosphere and hearing DJ Tiesto amping up the fans, I would absolutely want to be there though.

99% of the fans were Max fans. Sooo much orange. I enjoyed spotting the occasional Ferrari or Lewis fan in the crowd, just for fun. Otherwise it was a sea of orange and amazing F1 fans. Congrats to Max for living up to all the expectations and winning his home Grand Prix!

For this year’s race, I was not feeling meat and potatoes so we skipped dinner and went straight for dessert! This butter cake is almond-y, butter-y and easy to make, I would definitely recommend it!
