2022

It’s another new year and a new season of F1 is coming!

Although I stepped back from F1 news and hype for a minute, it wasn’t a completely sports free winter. We enjoyed watching the Winter Olympics in Beijing and quickly found snowboarding and biathlon to be favorites. I also couldn’t help but think the sliding sports had some F1 vibes to them, especially the bobsleds with their high-tech features.

I have started picking back up on my F1 social media, podcasts, and following the new car reveals. It is starting to feel like the new season is right around the corner! Pre-Season track sessions starts in Spain this week and Drive to Survive comes out March 11th so we can re-live all of last year’s drama before the new season begins.

There are a number of updates to this year’s calendar. Including a “record-breaking” 23 races. I am mostly excited and hopeful for the return of Japan and Singapore. Though Miami could be fun.

To see all the updates and changes as well as recipes from previous years, check out the Race Calendar. Here are the main updates:

I am looking forward to getting back in the kitchen and experimenting again this year. I made a few new tapas recipes in preparation for the Testing week in Spain. And of course it gives me an opportunity to add to my ever growing collection, you can find them all under Spain in the Countries section of the website.

Like last year, I want to share a few of the bright spots in my life these days. I have been hiking a lot, started kayaking (and have fallen in love with being out on the water), borrowed lots of books from our local library to read and get inspiration from, and have been taking more and more pictures of our cats, Lulu and Jenson, doing ridiculous things. I hope you are finding small joys in your everyday life as well.

Hope you are excited to get cooking for a new season of F1. Let me know which race or what country you are most excited for in the comments!
